I believe that the Dade County Bar Association has the opportunity to speak for professionalism, to advance the Bench and Bar, and to support our members with meaningful services. I also believe that we owe our members a duty to use our resources wisely. Because of these beliefs, I have invested sustained effort for the last nine years to improve our services and operations, and I am seeking to continue my service to the Bar as President-Elect.
Before being elected to Vice President this year, I served on the Executive Committee five times, as Treasurer, and as Secretary. My contributions have included updating the procedures of the Lawyer Referral Service, developing financial controls, auditing three years of financial statements, investing our savings in a diverse portfolio, and overhauling the Bulletin. You can count on me to work to improve our organization’s service to our members and the community.

- Elected to the Board of Directors in 2010, served three consecutive terms as Group 1 Representative to the Executive Committee, drafted staff Policies and Procedures with past president Garrett Biondo;
- Bylaws do not permit directors to serve consecutive terms, during year off (2013-14) served on the Budget Committee and Audit Subcommittee;
- Re-elected to the Board of Directors in 2014, elected to two consecutive terms as Group 2 Representative to the Executive Committee for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 bar years, then ran for Treasurer;
- Elected 2016-2017 Treasurer, authored financial controls and audited three preceding year financial statements;
- 2017-2018 Secretary, led Lawyer Referral Service Committee, seeking to improve operations and marketing to enhance delivery of legal assistance to clients and referral of appropriate clients to private attorneys;
- Remained on the Budget Committee since 2013, authored staff policy handbook;
- Writer, past vice chair, and then chair of the Bulletin Committee, (appointed two times) spearheaded redesign of newspaper publication and website;
- Co-founded the University of Miami School of Law Student Chapter in 2009, (as a student) served as liaison from 2010-2014.

- Elected to the Board of Directors in 2010; (membership at fewer than 50)
- Served as Treasurer in 2010-2011, initiated bookkeeping and accounting procedures to ensure accountability and transparency;
- President-Elect, 2011-2012, redesigned website;
- President 2012-2013;
- Membership increased to more than 400.
