Muir & Associates is proud to announce that founding partner Jane Muir was recognized as a 2016 “Super Lawyers Rising Star.” The Super Lawyer distinction is awarded to less than 5% of the over 100,000 lawyers in the state of Florida and the Super Lawyer Rising Star distinction is awarded to less than 2.5%. Eligibility for the Rising Star list is limited to lawyers under 40 years of age.
Super Lawyers is Thompson Reuters lawyer a rating organization, which evaluates outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained the highest degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selection for the award involves a patented multistage lawyer selection and peer-review ranking process recognized by law schools, bar associations, and courts across the country.
Most recently, a New Jersey Supreme Court special master was quoted saying, “The Super Lawyers selection process is a comprehensive, good-faith and detailed attempt to produce a list of lawyers that have attained high peer recognition, meet ethical standards, and have demonstrated some degree of achievement in their field.”
“It is absolutely clear from this record that [Super Lawyers does] not permit a lawyer to buy one’s way onto the list, nor is there any requirement for the purchase of any product for inclusion in the lists or any quid pro quo of any kind or nature associated with the evaluation and listing of an attorney or in the subsequent advertising of one’s inclusion in the lists.”

Muir was also named to the Super Lawyers Rising Star list in 2014 and 2015. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country.
